Belitong Geopark Welcomes You

UNESCO Global Geopark at the 211th Session of the UNESCO Executive Council in Paris, France, designated Belitung as a Global Geopark. Biodiversity in the Belitung Geopark is also known to have long been used by the community for the manufacture of herbal medicines. That is one of the reasons Geopark Belitung won the highest score among the history of submitting national geoparks to the UNESCO Global Geopark, which is 850 out of 1000 highest points.
